HPV And Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer is caused by the sexually-transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV) - its effects can be prevented with a simple vaccination.
Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers in the world, but most people don’t know it despite global statistics show that 50% of sexually active men and women are likely to be infected with HPV at least once in their lifetime.
Women are not the only target of HPV, it could manifest as genital warts in both sexes and even those in monogamous relationships are at risk if one partner has had other sex partners.
